Fine Art Photography
Exploring the depths of the ocean and traversing the globe, my passion for underwater and travel photography fills me with excitement and wonder. Each dive and journey presents an opportunity to capture the unique and awe-inspiring moments that unfold before me.
Every photograph tells a story—a story of exploration, discovery, and a deep-seated desire for peace in our world. It's not just about capturing images; it's about sharing experiences and fostering understanding across cultures and boundaries.
Artist Statement of an underwater photographer - Maryanne McGuire
My underwater portraits celebrate the beauty of women in all their simplicity, complexity and diversity. Here, amidst a tranquil world gently embraced by water, individuals discover moments of peaceful contemplation and quiet reflection. Whether exploring, letting go, conquering, or embracing self-acceptance, each moment reflects the resilience and inherent strength of the female spirit. Through my camera lens, I navigate the depths to capture women in moments where grace transcends mere pose and becomes a profound state of being. I invite you to immerse yourself in these narratives, to witness the beauty of vulnerability. My artwork seeks to break through social barriers and inequities, empowering women to express themselves authentically and rise without fear.

What People Are Saying
I chose to purchase a photograph of Venice from Maryanne McGuire because of its unique perspective and beautiful colors. I saw the photo in an art exhibit of Maryanne's and knew it would be perfect for the space in my home. Maryanne was most helpful in coming to my home and making recommendations as to the photo size and frame selection and she delivered the finished piece on time. My husband and I love it! I highly recommend purchasing Maryanne's fine art photographs!

I went to Maryanne's solo gallery show at MK Galleries last summer and fell in love with her En Caustic mixed media artwork. In particular, her photo of a plaza in Szentendre, Hungary with brilliantly colored umbrellas hanging above the plaza blew me away. She showed me the original photo and the artistic interpretation she applied to the finished photo side by side. The results of her hand coloring and waxing technique were stunning. I immediately bid on the photo and was lucky enough to walk away with it. I've since acquired another piece from that show depicting the Grand Canal in Venice that is just spectacular. Her keen eye in knowing where to add color and the unique process of applying a wax coating to the finished work is bedazzling! Both pieces hang proudly in my living room and the compliments I get from visitors range from "WOW", to how does she do it, to where can we see her work? She is an exceptional artist with an eye for detail that is uncanny. I can't wait to see her next show so I can add to my collection of her work."

Please accept my sincere appreciation for the wonderful pictures of Hawaii. My wife and family thought they were just beautiful. My son tried to steal them but I beat him off with a large bat.
